Czechoslovakia occupied territory
Policies-
After Germany took over Czechoslovakia the Nazi government took the Germans that lived there under Nazi rule. The Czech’s were allowed to have a government, however the Nazi’s controlled the ministries of defense, foreign affairs, and communications and customs. Czechoslovakia was in terrible shape as their economy crashed and the country split, Slovakia becoming an independent state. Also many people were mad at Germany because it broke the promises it made with the last government of Czechoslovakia. Germany also demanded people prove they weren’t Jewish or Gypsy with family lineages all the way to people grandparents. The Germans killed approximately 263,000 Jews who had resided in Czechoslovakia.

Effects of occupation-
Many Czechoslovakian citizens felt betrayed after the Nazis broke their promise. Morale was at an extreme low, and many people actually commit suicide after the occupation started. Throughout the occupation the citizens were forced to work around 64 hour work weeks. Stress as well as poor conditions made the health of the people crash. Throughout the occupation many Czechoslovakians rebelled against the Nazis, however their efforts did not stop the Nazi abuse at all, and may have even incited more death among Czechoslovakians.

Women and Children
Many women and children were displaced under the Nazi regime. The Nazi party also worked both women and children extremely hard. Many women got pregnant just so that they would not have to work for a little while. Health conditions were poor for everyone and morale was very low.
